The challenge
Berkley Normal Middle School had several reasons for replacing their existing grass with SmartGrass at the entrance to their school. Eliminating mud was at the top of the list, as this was being tracked into classrooms during wet weather. The old lawn was a trip hazard due to undulation caused by tree roots. Maintenance was also a hassle as the grass was difficult to grow, and the caretaker was needed elsewhere.
The solution
The base was prepared and the new turf laid giving the entrance to the school an immediate boost. The children enjoy playing and eating their lunch on the new lawn now that it is no longer muddy or dusty.
