Does artificial grass reduce mud and wear on school fields?
SmartGrass is installed over a compacted base (or existing hard surface like concrete) with our specially engineered backing and base preparation to maximise water drainage. Not only does it reduce the number of puddles that form, but it also doesn’t trample or wear down into dirt or mud.
How much maintenance does artificial grass require in a school environment?
Maintaining SmartGrass is simple compared to ordinary grass. It doesn’t require mowing or watering. Keeping the surface free of debris (like leaves or crumbs from sandwiches) will keep it clean, and if flat spots appear, just sweep them against the grain with a stiff broom. Our team can also visit for a maintenance groom to keep your spaces looking their best.
