If you’re working on a new house build you can skip to step 2, and if you’re working on a concrete area skip ahead to step 4.
You’ll need to dig up your existing lawn or garden area down to 70-100mm deep to expose hard ground.
Compact the ground and lay geocloth to prevent shifting and weeds.
Surround the area with a timber or concrete edge, build up your base with compacted crushed rock, and finish with a fine aggregate layer for a perfectly level surface.
SmartGrass is laid right on top of the crushed rock and fastened to your edges and ground.
The entire area is infilled with a layer of specialised silica sand and then groomed in to level it and keep grass blades in position.
To ensure SmartGrass is installed correctly and looks the best, we highly recommend utilising our professional installers – it’s what they do, all day every day!
